Selection of elements in particular area

Hi,

Please help me in the command for selection of elements in the particular area as shown in the second image.

By box command can this be done.

can any one please explain me about the box command and the way it works in detail.

after selection of elements in this box i want to eliminate the certain elements of one component from the selection(Blue boxed elements in first image) (below the wire framed elements there are certain elements of other component i want to remove from selection)

Please help me in this commands i struggling for long time and i am new to the TCl/TK.

did you read help about *creatmark?

i think there is an option to select only fore elems. like in advanced selection mode
