Below info is just for your information.
For simplicity sake you can also model such structure with shell element. Please find below details in below location for crash box simulation using Radioss.

Hello Rahul,
Thank you very much for your valuable info. I will look into the thread.
Thank you.

Hello @Rahul R, @Prakash Pagadala, @George P Johnson, @Rahul Ponginan
I looked in to the model. For shell elements i think i could use this model. But i am supposed to use only tetra elements. Could you please provide me with any example file or something. I have tetra elements and would like to model it as orthotropic honeycomb material.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have also tagged other expert users based on related contents shared by them on this forum. I hope its alright.
Thank you and loooking forward to hear from you.

Hi Samraj,
As of now, there are no sharable tutorials with solid elements.
But you can use MAT9 or MAT9ORT to model orthotropic material for solid elements.

Hello Prakash,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I will look it up. I have another question. For the same problem, for carbon composites. Is it possible to plot the stress in loading direction? For instance, in linear static analysis for this problem, i have 500 N of force acting on the body which is defined as composite using PCOMP. in the material card i have set the value of stresses (Xt, xc and so on) . How do i see or plot stress the model has taken and if there is a breakage of structure for over estimated stress values in the analysis output. Also, its basically similar to bending of hollow composite column with both ends constrained. Linear static analysis is enough if i just want to plot the displacement and how much stress the composite material has taken?
thank you
