Hi all,

I am new to FEKO and would like to learn how to model a few antennas in FEKO and determine the phase performance. I came from antenna range where I did a lot of phase and amplitude measurements of antenna arrays to determine DF performance. So I need help with setting up let's say 2 horns as receiving antennas measure in Amp(dB) and Phase (deg.) from a far field plane wave in several different angles. I would also like to know how to create/export the data (angle vs. phase, angle vs. ampl, or/and vs freq) into *.csv format, or any formats that I can easily have it in excel. Many thanks in advance.

    Hello @LeH

It is fairly straightforward to setup the problem that you described in FEKO - if you haven't yet had time, I would suggest going through some of the example guide examples (e.g. there are horn antenna examples). It might be interesting to know that FEKO offers equivalent source/receiver models, whereby you can represent the geometry horn by an equivalent far-field pattern, spherical mode or near-field aperture. This could be useful if you need to run several/many simulations - you will only need to solve the geometry once and thereafter the simulation time will be reduced.
