Thanks once again George. Could you please tell me what did you change exactly?

    Hi,

The issue was with the loadstep where you activated the flag for retrieval of eigenvalue which is normally used in modal frequency analysis and the same was removed.

    hey george

One more question. For the above model, if I have to apply 100MPa on one of the edges of the model, can I just use the 'force' boundary condition to generate it.

    Thanks

    Sincerely

    Hi,

For MPa units you have to apply the pressure load, and you can apply pressure loads only on the element faces.

If you are trying with force load (N) then you have to select force load collector., which you can apply on the nodes. Suppose you are applying a force 100N in an edge with 10 nodes, select the 10 nodes and enter the magnitude as 10 in the force panel(that is 100 divided by the number of nodes 10).

I recommend you to go through a similar tutorial in our Help Menu which is attached along. The model file is also attached for practice.

I made a solid element this time around and gave the model a thickness of 5mm. Howeever it agains shows the same error as before.

I have a attached the model

    Hi,

There were shell elements in the model which were deleted and no property was assigned to the model.

Please check with the model attached.
