bird impact analysis :stress distribution is not proper

Hi there, 

I am working on bird impact analysis of an aircraft. it's a composite sandwich model and is of varying thickness from parts to parts.

 

when i see the result in hyperview, the stress and strain is not distributing properly between elements of varying ply layups.

 

I am confused . any suggestions ?

Can you check if there is any mesh discontinuity?
