Contact with RWALL
Hi,
I'm trying to analyse the compliance of an insole under a mapping of pressure and i have to recreate the ground under it so it can lengthen while deforming and blocking the vertical displacement only. I tried to create a rigid wall under it using a node where the ground should be, but during the analysis, only the area where the SPC is applied the movement was block and the rigid wall was completly useless.
I then tried to add a contact between my model and the RWALL but i can't use Contact surface cause it's not a surface. What should i do?
When i added a surface under my model and applied SPCs on it and ran the analysis, my ground started moving...Could it be because it's not applied in the LoadStep i created so the analysis is not taking it into account?
I can share the output file and any other files if needed.
Thanks,
Olivier

Hi,
As I understand what you described, it is the same like you put a box on the ground and apply force to it, is that correct ??. Try to apply SPC to all nodes on under face of your model and deselect 1st, 2nd, and 4th DOF. And please share your FEM file if possible.

Hi @Sanjay Nainani,
I tried to add the nodes but i can only add sets in my version. So i created a set with all the nodes from my component and applied a distance of 1 mm.
But i get the error 4072 that doesn't work with my analysis in NLGEOM. Do you have any ideas?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
Thanks

Hello,
First create a set of all the nodes of the component. Please see there is no node of the rwall in this set.
Also see that the node set should be created using a entity sets not control cards
Then keep the distance to zero and then add this set to rwall
Thankyou
