The thickness of the face sheet is 1.2 mm. So there is a gap of 0.6 mm between face sheet and sandwich core.

If you keep the gap, you have to use some technique to stick the central mesh to two shell. Or it's better to extend the surface to link to another.

Because the shell of the core and the face sheet are simulated as central mesh. Which technique can stick the central mesh  between face sheet and core?
