I would like to know if there is a possibilty in Hypermesh to convert a surface model to a volume model?

By volume model if you mean a Solid then you can go to Geom>>Solids
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
select the surfaces which will make that solid and click on create.
If you mean something else please give some more details.
