    Hi,

Dia of the Bolt is same as dia Hole. So, use F4 Key to find out the dia of Hole.

    thank you

    Thanks Premanand,

But i have used RBE3 elements for the fixation without make holes

what i can do in this case ?

    Thanks

Sorry, i didn't get you. You have created bolt connection between two holes right?

    Thank you

yes i know that, but why are you creating bolt connection between two elements? bolts are created between two components to hold them together.

    Thank you

Please understand, Bolt is created between two 'Holes' of different components, not between two elements.

    Thank you

    Hi,

You may wish to create RBE3 between two components instead of in between 2 holes, that's fine.

But why you want to know the Dia of RBE3 element. RBE 3 is a rigid element &  will not deform with even infinite forces. If you are interested to know the stress on joint/link (represented by RBE3 by you earlier) make RBE3 web for each component & connect it via BAR element on which you can give dia.

    Hope it helps.

Also for most practical cases, bolts are last to fail, before that material of component fails. That is why, usually bolts are not modeled and rigid RBE2 and RBE3 elements are used.

    Wrong.

RBE3 is not rigid, it's deformable

    Agree..

RBE2 imposes stiffness, but RBE3 is an interpolation element.
