Hello,

I am strying to analyse a bow section but I obtain errors as shown in the picture.

There i a good possibility there are not enough mesh elements.

Or, I have to check the menh better.

Any suggestions?

How can I find the elements which are causing the error?

Best regards.

Joep

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    I prefer meshing with smaller elements, although my student version does not allow more than 100.000..

    I think it can be due to the details in the front, but I cannot figure out how to fix it.

    Best regards, thanks a lot,

    Hello,

    The problem is in the front elements where the constraints are applied.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>image.thumb.png.90259e1ead222e7f94b28ea270e14678.png

    You need to either decrease the element size way down but as you cannot then i would suggest you to change the dimension of the bow.

    The problem is the bow end has virtually no thickness for 3D elements to be generated and that's why it will always show element quality error.

    If you still want to run the analysis by by-passing the element quality check go to Analysis>>Control Cards>>PARAM>>CHECKEL and change it to NO.

    Thankyou
