Hello everybody, I was wondering if VISSIM can support the F28377D Delfino development board (dual core CPUs) http://www.ti.com/tool/TMDXDOCK28377D because I'm going to buy this board and I would like to be sure it will be supported by VISSIM.

Thanks in advance for your answers. Best regards

Hi Danilo, This board support is under active development. It has many differences from previous C28x cores. Besides being dual C28x core, it has 4 ADC units, completely different peripheral clocking, PLL clocking, comparators, new sigma delta filters and external memory interface. Let us know if you would like to be a Beta tester for this support.

Hello, thanks for your prompt reply. It was really useful. I would like to be a Beta tester for the Delfino F377x development board. But I have a question and one comment about that.

First, the F377x board is not currently available from suppliers in the UK, so I will buy it directly from the TI store. I think it is going to take 2-3 weeks before I have the board. I was wondering if that time window is OK for you.

And my question. What are exactly the tests I will have to do as Beta tester? Could you explain me a little bit more the details about that, please?

Thanks for your time. Best wishes.

    Hi Danilo,

That's OK. Our F2837xD support will still be there when your board arrives.

There are no special tests for you to do. It means that you will be using software that may have missing or buggy support for certain aspects of the F2837xD target. If your development schedule can tolerate this, and you agree to communicate to our development team with any issues you have, then Beta testing can work out well for both you the user and us. Oh, you also get to use the new software for free (generally we do require an active license for the previous version).

    Hello,

Beta testing conditions sound great from my side. About the license, my former university used to have VisSim licenses and that's why I'm familiar with the software. However, my current university doesn't have any VisSim license. Actually, I asked for a quote days ago but I'm still waiting for that. Hopefully I will get a reply soon.
