Pull out of a screw

Hello,

 

I am trying to simulate the pull-out of a screw from a cube with some of the screw outside of the cube.

 

Which kind of contact interface should I use?

    Hi,

    I presume you are using RADIOSS solver and in that case ,create a surface to node Type 7 multi-usage impact interface and also a Type 11 edge to edge interface.

    Hello,

    Yes I am using RADIOSS solver.
    So if I understand well, I should use 2 different interface in the same times?

    Can you say which parameters I should use for both Type of interfaces?

    Hi,

    The recommended contact parameters for interface Type 7 are as below:

    Istf=4

    Igap=2

    Fscale_Gap=0.8

    INACTI=6

    Gap_min=

    Fric = 0.1

    Iform=2

     

    The recommended contact parameters for interface Type 11 are as below:

    Istf=4

    Idel=2

    INACTI=6

    Gap_min=

    Iform=2
