Define Attackpoint for Force/ Simple Question?
Hello everyone,
i do a FEM Project with HyperMesh and now im at a point where i need some help (First time with HyperMesh)
I have to do a FEM analysis where various forces attack a beam. The Problem is that the Beam is not symmetrical but i have to define a Force in direction to the Z-axis. (Picture 2) The Force should attack at the center of gravity otherwise the beam will be twisted.
My Question is:
Where/ how can i define that point (cog) or force where the beam only bends down and dont twist?
previous attempts:
- Pic 3. --> But it twisted. It is logical because of the lever arm
- Singe Force on the Top of the beam near the CoG but also twisted
My Solver is Optistruct.

Maybe someone can help me /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
Thanks

Hi Samorit
Can u share the model file. I will check and update
You can use secure transfer link if needed

Hi Pranav Hari
Yes of cause.
I found out how to see the coordinations of cog and created a node there. This is also the attackpoint of force. But i cannot create a connection with the center of gravity and the element of my mesh..

Hi @Samorit
Since you know the CoG, you can create a node there and create an RBE3 element to distribute your loads in the cross section
