How to solve this problem
Hi everyone! I do the reaserch of bus body frame. There are lots of square tubes. Now I use the Midsurface to create the model like picture 1, and finish the mesh like picture 2, but the place that arrows point to is empty! How can I do to solve this? I want to create the mesh like picture 3 (the picture 3 use the hexa mesh)
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
For shell meshing the element thickness specified by the user is assigned half on the element top and half on the bottom side and so it appears as you shown in the above image.
It's only a visualization case and will not affect your analysis, and please continue with your analysis.

Thank you for your reply!
I do the static and modal analysis in a bus body frame, Does this make a difference? I just started to learn this software,Do you have a tutorial video or information in this area?It is very kind of you!

Hello,
We have many tutorials available which can be accessed through the 'Help' section in HyperMesh.
You can also refer to material in the Learning Library https://altairuniversity.com/learning-library/
You can also use the Learning and Certification System for more Knowledge as well as get Certified https://certification.altairuniversity.com/
You can also refer to the eBook Practical Aspects of Finite Element Simulation (A Study Guide)
Static Analysis is different than a Modal Analysis. In modal analysis we get the natural frequencies of the components while in a static analysis we apply force and constrain the object and look at the results of that force.
Thankyou
