Does Altair Inspire have an option to show convergence plots
Hello everyone,
I am using Altair Inspire 2019 for an engineering project. Based on classes I have taken in the past regarding Finite Element Analysis, it would be important to show a convergence plot to justify that the mesh size and elements type are providing me with the most accurate solution.
So my question would be, does Altair's Inspire software have the ability to show the amount of elements being used in the mesh, the type of elements being used (ex; tetrahedron, Quadrilateral, triangles, etc) and a convergence plot?
Thank you in advance!

I think you can follow optiAnalysis.out file and check during the analysis the amount of iterations. I've read on this forum that if it is more than 50 iterations for sure there is something wrong or at least is not the typical case.
I hope it helps you /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

Yes, the *.out file listed above is where you will find information about the mesh that is made (DOFs, #Nodes, #Elements).
2 Quick notes:
1) You can view the mesh after an Analysis or Optimization by clicking the button below in the Analysis or Optimization icon...
2) There are Mesh Controls, so if there are areas that you are concerned with that might have high stress concentrations, you can assign a particular mesh to those areas and compare the analysis results... Keep in mind, the philosophy behind Inspire is to get good enough answer quickly. A lot of things like stress concentrations can be taken care of after the initial design is settled.
