Hi all,

i want to use the Particle Replacement routine in EDEM 2022.0 vers. 8. After setting up the tutorial i get the following warning in the particle-particle plugin window.

The simulation does not start and i have no clue what i am missing. The tutorial pdf does not specify where i need to put the files located in the src folder also.. So i am not sure where to put them.

Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

I don't know what you mean by "vers 8" but I'm assuming you're following the tutorial from here:

    https://community.altair.com/community?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0037689

The reason you get the error GETCMINTERFACEVERSION is because this plugin (.dll file) has not been compiled to be a contact model, but that is where you are trying to load it. The ParticleReplacement.dll is a combined factory and body force, so it should only be loaded there.

    Cheers,

    Richard

I met the same error in EDEM2023, when trying to plugin particle body force.
