Laminate creation with drop off

I am trying to create a laminate on a 90 degree section of a tube. The tube is tapered and it is thicker at one end. I noticed that the plies are symmetricaly distributed around the mid plane but I would like them to be stacked up starting from the original shell. Is there an option to decide how to stack up the plies or I just have to modify my starting geometry to have the right diameter? The issue is particularly evident in the thicker area. Moreover, plies don't have constant thickness.

Thanks.
