PBS Sensor 14.0 – Apache Tomcat 7.0 Vulnerability and Update Options

Hello,

We have identified an outdated Apache Tomcat 7.0 component bundled with Altair PBS Sensor 14.0 in an Altair 2019 installation.

The affected file is located at:

C:\Program Files\Altair\2019\pbs_sensor\14.0\thirdparty\tomcat-7.0\bin\tomcat-juli.jar

We are looking to remediate the associated security vulnerability without disrupting any dependent applications.

Could someone please confirm:

Is PBS Sensor 14.0 required for HyperMesh 2019 or other Altair applications?
Is there a newer version of PBS Sensor available that addresses the outdated Tomcat component?
Can the bundled Tomcat installation be safely removed without affecting other Altair functionality?
Where can we download an updated version, if one is available?
