Does anyone know how to do this in Hypermesh? I can't find a setting in preferences or parameters. The meshing tools remember what options were used last but this doesn't seem to apply to the auto remesh. Thanks
Actually let me take that back. I was using an unreleased build (available in Dec).
2026.1 seems to always use Mixed. You would need to update surface after topology revision.
Correct, use the Automesh/Freeform mesh with the desired Element Type and create the mesh on the updated surface.
Hello,
I believe since it essentially goes back and utilizes the Automesh/Freeform tool to remesh the new topological surfaces, it uses whatever setting you have defined in the tool. At least that is how it worked for me.
Ok, thanks for confirming. So when you say "update the surface" you mean do a manual remesh, right? (Assume I'm not using FE Geometry if that makes a difference)
