Hello,
I imported a 3D model from Dragonfly into HyperMesh 2024.1, as shown below. The model already contains a 2D surface mesh.
I am trying to generate a coarser 3D tetrahedral mesh. However, after increasing both the average and minimum element size, the number of 3D elements does not decrease significantly beyond a certain point.
Could this be caused by the very large number of surfaces in the model? If so, is there a recommended way to reduce or simplify the number of surfaces while preserving the phase boundaries, so that a coarser 3D mesh can be generated?
Alternatively, is there another method in HyperMesh to further reduce the number of 3D elements?
I would appreciate any advice.
