VonMises Stress in hollow steel tube

I would like to ask about VonMises Stress.

I found that there are two kinds of method to show stress in Hyperview.

The first one is "Stress » VonMises » Max" and another one is "VonMises » Mid". What is difference of these two and which one is right to use for seeing stress on hollow square steel tube. The steel tube is modelled with Mid-Shell Surface.
