Bug With Altair Inspire

Hello, i am trying to make generative design with inspire i created a cad file from solidworks and saved as parasolid. When im trying to apply force from Z axial the part disappears from my screen and the forces set to 0. I have tried applying the force just from the z axial the problem appears again. I cannot solve the problem

Hello @Yunkuc,

I am assuming the part is flying off due to the gravity being enabled in the model. Please try by creating the joints to constrain the model or disable the gravity in Run Settings or Gravity option.

It'd be great if you can attach the model here to look at the issue first-hand.

My screen is like this i cant find the gravity selection and also i cannot create joint cause it is a single part

Hi @Yunkuc,

Acceleration due to Gravity can be set using the Accels tool:

Constraints can easily be added by using the Joints tool, using the Find option, and then selection the feature you would like to connect to ground:

I make the partition and created joints but it is still flying off and i also check the gravity but it is not active in my model but part is still flying off

That is a complete model of mine i have to use bearing load in case and i think axial load is not allowed in bearing load than i used a force in z axial to preserve result clean

I have uploaded a crashed model. But this model only have the problematic load case not other load cases

Hi @Yunkuc,

It looks like your model may have been corrupted during saving. The properties for the force you have defined are impossible, as the fx/fy/fz components are all set to 0.

There are also options showing values of 0 and 1 rather then being checked or unchecked.

Also, unless I hover over Support 1, there is nothing displayed in the view screen:

Based on what I can determine from this file, I rebuilt it as follows:

I can see that the support you have placed allows for rotation around its Z axis. Therefore, with the bearing load applied it will simply spin on that axis without restraint:

This model runs without issue, so I am not sure what transpired in your original model file. Please find it attached:
