Test the Damping performance of the suspension system.

Hello everyone, have a good day!

I'm working on a problem to test the damping characteristics of a model's suspension system, with the characteristics taken from a .dpr file.

When I select the option to export the model's force and velocity results like this...

After running the test, my output shows RESULTS (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), and I don't know what the meaning and purpose of each RESULT is.

I hope you can help me answer my questions.

Hi @Dylan_HuanRose, Depending on the version of HyperMesh Desktop you are using and if you are reading the information from the output ABF or PLT file, the listed components may only show the RESULT(X) that you have displayed. Thank you for your feedback, and I have tried to double-check the data you provided above and the result (1) is the length, but when I look at the graph this value is 0 and in the model I set up the distance between 2 points is 561mm.

The other results also do not have the exact value as in the model I built.

Hi @Dylan_HuanRose,

Based on the XML block I posted, I would assume that RESULT(2) is actually length. What does the plot for RESULT(2) look like?

Typically, the first and fifth component in outputs are actually magnitudes of the following 3 components for more standard outputs.

Yes, result 2 is correct regarding the length, and result 4 is the rate of change of the damping length in mm/s, right?
