Hi everyone,
I'm working with a standard Full Vehicle Driver template in MotionView and modified the hardpoints to match my target vehicle specifications.
After updating the hardpoints, I ran a Kinematics and Compliance (K&C) simulation, and all the suspension links moved and articulated properly without any issues. However, when I try to run a Straight Line Braking (StrLineBrkt) event, the vehicle unexpectedly launches/flies upward into the air and falls down, causing the simulation to crash.
According to the log file, the solver terminates with the following error:
"ERROR: At time=8.585E+00 the integrator failed to proceed."
What I have tried so far to fix this:
- I attempted to adjust the Spring Install Force and Spring Install Length, but the vehicle still behaves the same way (flies/bounces vertically).
Could anyone please guide me on what usually causes this kind of instability after a hardpoint change? Which parameters, joint constraints, or bushing limits should I look into to resolve this integrator failure?
Thank you in advance for your help!
