I've just installed md-plugin-v2026-x. The extraction path is shown in Figure 1, and I've set up the system variables as shown in Figure 2. However, the MD_Tools button in Hypermesh doesn't respond when clicked, and in Motionview it throws an error (see Figure 3). Am I missing some steps? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You do not need to install the MD_Plugin in the installation directory. You can place the extension folder anywhere (for example, in your Documents folder) and reference that location through the Extensions tool.
The workflow you are trying to use is actually reversed. The option to send geometry from one client to another is intended for transferring geometry from HyperMesh to MotionView. The only data that can be sent from MotionView to HyperMesh are points, units, and materials.
In addition, both clients must be open on the same page. For example, Window 1 can be HyperMesh and Window 2 can be MotionView. You can refer to the online help documentation for more information on the supported workflows.

I have now changed the installation directory, but the transfer from MV to HM works fine, while the transfer from HM to MV does not.
Also, I noticed in the online help that there is an issue: the installation directory for MD_Tools for HyperWorks needs to be under hydesktop\utility, but Compose does not have this requirement, so I'm a bit confused.
In addition, the installation package directory provided on the forum is missing a Compose folder compared to what is shown in the help documentation.
I discussed this with Thierry the owner of the MD Tools. Please go and download the updated MD_Tools. You should be able to use HM to MV now. I have tested it and sending infomration between both products works for me.
