I'm wondering if I use 'Ruled' without affecting other meshsed in Hypermesh 2025.

Question

Nowadays, I try to transfer from 2021 to 2025.

But I'm very confused when I use 'Ruled' in Hypermesh 2025.

I used 'Ruled' when I filled mesh between two components in Hypermesh 2021.

Two components is composed of orphanmesh.

As far as I know, Hypermesh 2025 is operated based on geometry.

So, I created FE Geometry using two seperated mesh component and I tried to use 'Ruled'.

But sometimes, Modifying mesh is occured in original mesh after I conducted 'Ruled'.

It was not my intend. I just want to create new mesh between two component without modifying original mesh.

Of course, I can create new mesh using 'Ruled' without modifying original mesh after deleting surfaces. But it takes a lot of time compare to Hypermesh 2021.

Are there any good method when I create new meshes between two component which is composed of mesh.

I'm sorry to late reply.

well… It's okay when I conduct a rule function in simple mesh structure.

But, In the complicated mesh structure, if I conduct a rule fuction, somtimes there are modification in original mesh.

I want to show you what is the problem, but I can't because of company security policy.

Can you please give an example of model and settings? I cannot replicate. You can see the only thing being meshed is the gap between the edges (the edges are locked to NOT allow changing density)
