Is there any way to simulate an infinitely periodic ground with a single antenna.

Description: I am trying to simulate a single antenna above an in-homogeneous soil. Currently I have an antenna placed above a checkerboard of solid blocks of soil, and I want to tile this out to infinity. When trying to implement infinite periodic boundary conditions, or expanding it as an array, the system always tiles the antenna as well. Is there any way to tile only one aspect of the geometry, or is this a fundamental limitation of the periodic boundary condition solver? Can I turn off the DGFM solver in some way to achieve this?

Hello @Fdisplayname,

Feko's Periodic Boundary Condition (PBC) automatically extends all the geometries inside the PBC cell to the infinite. So if an antenna is inside PBC, the antennas will become an infinite array.

I think a possible way might be to use the characterized surface medium.

1. Calculate TR coefficients of the inhomogeneous soil defined with PBC
2. Set up a large finite place as characterized surface medium with the TR coefficient.
3. Locate the antenna above the plate
