Hello everyone,
I am working with HyperWorks 2022.3 on a folded sheet metal component. I want to simulate a structural joint by modeling a weld along the edges where the sheet meets.
I tried to create a seam weld using the Connector tool, but when I try to select the nodes for Link 1 and Link 2, the software does not allow me to select the same part for both. I have also tried creating node sets and assigning them, but it doesn't allow me to proceed with the realization.
What is the recommended workflow or best practice to model a weld on the same component (avoiding bonded contact solution) in HyperWorks 2022.3?
Any suggestions or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
