Raspberry pi how to sync target to block?

Good day.

 

Whenever i ticked 'Sync target to block' and run, i'm getting the error 'time out waiting target to response', any idea on this problem?

The purpose is to sync the input from rasp pi and the block output in embed. Right now the IO looks de-synced after running for about 10 seconds.  Whenever i send trigger from board, i will get the response in embed after 1-2 seconds, but not instantly, and the delay getting longer when simulation runs longer.
