What's the best way to simulate the SE of an enclosure ?

I have an enclosure and i would like to simulate the SE of it, i have a plane wave excitation and a rectangular aperture on one of the face of the enclosure. Should-i use MOM, SEP or FEM ? Do i need to create a dieletric Air media to fill into the box or just use Free space? what's the best way to simulate it and have results near from IRL?    Thanks for your responses and time.

It depends on how large the expected SE is. With an air-filled cavity, you can accurately simulate MoM, SEP, and SE up to 120 dB. However, if the SE is significantly smaller (for example, because there is a larger opening), the air isn't really necessary. Of course, you can also use FEM for simulation. FEM in general might be more efficient for complex geometry.
