Error 548 and 16504
Hello Team FEKO,
I need to simulate a 3D lossy nanowire (0.61nm radius, 1um length) inside a 2mm thick lossy slab. I have used planar multilayer substrate to emulate the infinite lateral extent of the slab. My range of operation is 1 GHz to 30 Thz.
1. when the nanowire is placed 0.25mm below the top surface, the solver generates the following error:
ERROR 548: Internal Feko error. Please notify the Feko support team and provide the error number, preferably together with the Feko input and output files.
The files are attached below.
2. when the nanowire is placed 1mm below the top surface, the solver generates the following error:
Error 16504: The operation resulted in a model outside the extents. Increase the extents to solve the problem.
My model extent is always set to the maximum 5e+5, and the model reference unit is set to 1e-9 m.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Looks like you broke Feko /emoticons/default_wink.png' srcset='/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x' title=';)' width='20'>
The developers will address this.

For the model extents problem, please change the model unit to mm, and update any variables accordingly.
You may also have to adjust the value here below:

The internal error is given due to extreme dimensions of the model.
The multilayer substrate is extremely thick in terms of the wavelength. The multilayer substrate is modeled using interpolation tables and these appear to break down for these extreme dimensions.
I don't think Feko is going to be able to model this, even if the internal error message is addressed.

I don't have any ideas on alternate ways to model this (yet).
Could you give some more background on what you are trying to model?
