Can you define a Rivet connection between 2 parts that are not in contact ?
Hi Tzachi,
No, you cannot define a rivet connection between two parts that are not in contact in SimSolid. Rivet connections (like welds or bolts) require physical contact or overlapping faces so the software can transfer loads correctly between the connected parts. If the parts are not touching, you would first need to adjust the geometry so that the surfaces or edges intended for the rivet are in contact. Once contact exists, you can define the rivet connector to properly simulate load transfer.
