[EDEM] Restart from a previously run state

Hello,
I would like to restart my simulation from a previously run state and treat it as a new initial condition.

Specifically, I run the simulation for 10 seconds, then I want to take that state and restart the simulation again from 0 seconds, applying different conditions or changes from that point onward.

Could you please explain how to properly restart a simulation from an existing state and redefine it as a new initial condition?

Hi Kihoon Hong,

this is possible case in EDEM.

After solving for 10sec please go to analyst and follow the below steps

File—>Export—>SimulatioDeck

It will ask to save the file, please save with appropriate name and you will get the below dialogue box

and activate the radio button set simulation time and enter as "0" so the 10sec state of simulation in new file it will be timestep=0.
