I am performing a structural analysis in SimSolid and have encountered a behavior that is somewhat confusing. I have a model that runs successfully when the adaptive solution level is set to 3; however, when I increase it to 5, I receive an error indicating that the assembly is not sufficiently constrained. Does this imply that the results obtained with 3 adaptive passes may not be reliable?

Increasing the adaptive solution level makes the solver more sensitive to rigid-body motion. A model may converge at a lower level even if it is slightly under-constrained, while higher levels can detect rigid-body motion. Ensure that all parts are properly constrained, add minimal stabilizing constraints if needed, and rerun the analysis to confirm that the results remain consistent.
