I'm performing a Topology optimization in Altair Flux 2024. I'm working with a SPMSM electric motor and i have a doubt about how to model the mechanical problem for the optimization. I defined the rotor as mechanical region, with E, nu, and rho. Then I set the boundary condition: Fixed for all the DOFs at the interface between the rotor and the shaft, Free radial traslation and Fixed the other 2 DOFs for the periodic boundaries of the rotor (just like it's explained in the user guide). Do I need to create a boundary condition for the interface rotor/magnet too? And if yes, which constraints should be Free and which Fixed?
