I would like to evaluate the iron losses in a radial flux IPM electric motor which is fed with a DC current with overimposed ripple (the neutral point is accessible). After reading some scientific articles, like this one Iron Loss Model Under DC Bias Flux Density Considering Temperature Influence, I found out that the modified Bertotti losses formula doesn't consider a DC bias induction. Does flux consider the DC bias induction when it calculates the iron losses due to the current ripple?
