Hello fellow EDEM users and support team,
I hope you’re all having a great day! I’m encountering a frustrating issue with EDEM and would greatly appreciate any help or insights you can offer.
Here’s the details of my workflow: I batch imported 1400 multi-sphere particle templates using EDEMpy and the CLUMPS library. Then, I used the API factory to generate exactly one instance per template, and placed all 1400 generated particles into a large bin to simulate stacking behavior. The simulation itself completes successfully, but when I try to open the Analyst interface afterward, the software becomes unresponsive for a long time before crashing entirely.
I initially suspected the large number of particle templates might be causing excessive computational load, but my CPU and GPU usage remain low when the crash occurs—so that doesn’t seem to be the root cause. I’ve also checked that the simulation files weren’t corrupted during the process.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this issue? Or could you recommend alternative solutions to resolve the crash when accessing the Analyst interface?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your valuable support!
Thanks,
GuaDong
