How do I edit this DPD block in Embed?

I have this SOGI-PLL from DPD , I want to edit this block , I edit this block by going to File → Diagram Information and made the changes but when I save and close the file then reopen , it reverts back to how it was. How can I make permanent change to any blocks inside DPD menu.

Hi xchum,

The block you are trying to modify is referring to an embed block internally, embedded into the outer block. You can verify this by Ctrl + right click on the internal block and you get its properties as:

which is telling you it's an embed block (not a normal compound block) and the source file resides in a different location and it is in the read-only format.

These blocks are created by first encapsuling all of the content in the diagram into a single compound block and then saving the diagram. In a new diagram, you can then select: Blocks —> Extensions —> embed from the main menu bar. By right clicking on the resulting embed block, you can insert the file location and name of the previously saved diagram to create your Embed master block which will be embedded into your diagram and be read-only as default from this new diagram (don't get confused between an Embed block and the Embedded micro-controller supported blocks). In this way, multiple repeated blocks in a diagram can be edited simply and in a single step. It also preserves the original status of the DPD files.

If you want to edit this block, right click (or double-left click) into the embed block in the diagram, which will open if you have a current license. Copy the contents inside the block and paste this into a new diagram or in an area in your existing diagram which is editable. You can then encapsulate this into a compound block and now freely edit and save its contents.
