I’m currently working on a soil direct shear test simulation in EDEM.
I’d like to create a simulation setup similar to the typical laboratory direct shear test device (see attached image).
Is there any example geometry or simulation file (e.g., dem file or STL/CAD file) for a direct shear test apparatus that I can refer to or use as a base model?
If not, are there any recommended best practices for modeling the shear box, proving ring, and vertical load system in EDEM?
Any shared files, example projects, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
