Particle Shape with Tavares Fragmentation Model in EDEM

I am planning to start a jet milling project where fragmentation plays a critical role. I intend to couple FLUENT with EDEM and have been reading about the Tavares fragmentation model in EDEM.

Could you please clarify whether it is possible to study particle shape evolution when using fragmentation, or if all particles generated after breakage are automatically assumed to be spherical?

Hi Fatemeh,

The latest EDEM version still supports only spherical particles even before and after breakage for Tavera's model.
