I am checking an L wall. When I check it with ACI 2019 I overwrite omega to be 1. When I compare the results with ACI 2014 I get higher DCRs in shear when I use ACI 2014 by about 35%. Looking at calculation the program provides, it seems the reason is that when teh program uses ACI 2014 the tension on the leg is higher and affects the shear capacity. Why are the two code lead to different demands when I am not changing the forces that I have provided for the program to do the checks?
