How can I solve   "Can't load addon DLL 'viscomm.dll': error 126"   ?

I just installed Embed x64 2022.2 Build 80 version and I would like to execute the Prof. Dayan (INATEL) simulation files of digital communications classes (https://www.inatel.br/docentes/dayan/pesquisa-e-publicacoes/easyfolder/tp537). These simulations files using communications block diagrams were created in old version VisSim/Comm. I was wondering if there is a way to automatically convert them to the current version of Embed.

First error during file opening:

After opening the file, if I try to run simulation it generates subsystems error messages like:

Can't open DLL function viscomm.randomSym
Can't open DLL function viscomm.noisePower
Can't open DLL function viscomm.delay
Can't open DLL function viscomm.FIRfilter
Can't open DLL function viscomm.integDump

Is the viscomm.dll still supported? Is there a way to downlad this dll?

Thanks in advance,

Artur Severo

    Hi Artur,

COMM is still supported, however it is supported by an Altair reseller.  Please contact Eugene Estinto at eugene.estinto@eritek.com, he will be able to get your licensing problem sorted out.

COMM DLLs are 32-bit. You need to download and install the 32-bit version of Embed.

Thanks for your answer. Do you have any clue how to download Embed 32-bit version?

The approval e-mail (the same with the license file) only contains link to 64-bit version.

    Thanks in advance!!

I've found the download page and tried 32-bit version and get the same error.

Then I've tried the "Embed Comm" available in 2021 version (or below). The Embed Comm requires Embed SE so I've downloades and installed both.

It seems that Embed Comm (and Embed SE) is exactly what I was looking for because have installed a folder called COMMLIB with all telecommunications blocks I was looking for.

Now I have a new problem.  "Comm module has expired"

It seems some kinf of license problem with Embed Comm module.

    I've just sent an e-mail to info@qbeaminc.com

Does anyone know how to solve thar?

    Thanks in advance.

    Update:

qbeaminc has answered and they sent me and updated viscomm.dll

    The "expired" problem is solved.
Now I am getting a "Licensing failure for COMM" error.

And while trying to run simulation I get "Embed_COMM license not found" error:

Now I  need to solve the licensing problem.
