I am trying to model 2 parts that will be manufactured separately and bonded together. Is there a way to model this as a perfectly rigid joint between the edge of a laminate and the surface of another?

There are multiple ways you can do this.

1. you can create one to one rigid (RBE2).
2. if you want to connect both parts, you can just equivalence the nodes of both parts.
3. You can define TIE contact and use TIE=MPC
