WRAP - Raster data conversion into WRAP proprietary file - best database and file format

Description: I need to work on different maps with respect to the one present as default (Sweden) in WRAP. Can you please suggest me an online database and the data format that allows an easy conversion by the Map Data Manager?

I am interested in the terrain profile only and the maps consider different locations around the world.

Hi @LManica,

Multiple online sources for raster maps are available, such as opentopography.org and usgs.org. You might also find other open access ressources.

It is important to know in which format you are exporting your database to, to be able to perform the conversion later on using the WRAP MapDataManager utility (accessible from the Feko Launcher > Utilities). The supported formats for convergence are all listed under Chapter 27 WRAP Map Data Manager, of the User Guide for your reference.

I am also sharing here an example demo that shows how to perform such download and conversion along with the corresponding files.
