Hello, i can't rotate particles arround a sphere, their rotation axis x and y are overlapping.
Product EDEM 11.0.0
How i must proceed?
Thank you, i understand now how EDEM works. First it rotates axis x, then it goes to y and z, because of this i cant rotate like i desired before.
Hi Ruben
It is extremely unclear what your concern is here. Could you explain more what you mean by axes overlapping? What makes you think they are overlapping?
Please check your particle definition of both particles - 'cilindro' and 'centro'. EDEM uses the particle definition to rotate the particle around its own axes. The particle in the metaparticle definition is not rotated around the meta-particle's axis, but instead is rotated around the individual particle's axis.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, Jerrin Job
Hello, I will try to explain better with this image
I created 3 cylinders (P1,P2,P3) and I can't rotate them to the vertical position, if i try to input any value in Rotation X, it's passed to Rotation Y automatically and doesn't matter what i put in Rotation Y, it doesn't affect vertically.
But if it's with 0 in rotation Z, i can rotate vertically, it's what is happening in cylinder Ref.
I did like to know how i can put P1,P2,P3 equal cylinder Ref, but with rotation Z in 90 degrees.
In my first image, you can see how rotation Z is affecting gradually the vertical inclination of cylinders.
This is a known issue within EDEM, so please try alternate ways of reaching the orientation you require without making Z to 90 degrees. For example, (40,0,90) can also be achieved by (0,90,40).
