Hello , I am a researcher and developer of a certain construction machinery company in China. I was running the simulation of a motor grader leveling the ground with EDEM software. When processing the simulation results, I encountered a problem. There was a bit of an issue in the correspondence between force and wear. The rotation Angle of the motor grader's blade body (top view) is adjustable from 0 to 55°. I ran four sets of simulations. They are respectively the rotation angles of 0, 10, 20, and 30, and the two parts on the scraper body are derived (scraper: the part at the bottom that contacts the ground; The wear and force data of the scraper (located above the scraper, connected by bolts, with a curved surface structure) show that the larger the rotation Angle, the smaller the force on the scraper, and the more severe the wear of the scraper. The result of the wear of the scraper is that the larger the rotation Angle, the smaller the force on the scraper, and the less the wear of the scraper. Why is this? What I compared was the wear condition under the archard wear model.
