There are a few reasons particlse may pass through geometry walls. Typically it is force based, EDEM returns a force to the particles based on the overlap. However the particle can only exert a force based on an overlap of the particle radius (really it should be 10% of the radius). If the overlap goes beyond the radius then the direction of the force will reverse and the particle will have passed through.
To resolve this it's best to ensure that the particles have appropriate properties and can return a high enough force to prevent this from happening. Typically this is to increase the Geometry and Particle shear modulus which often requires a lower time-step. This is a simulation with breakage, using Tavares breakage model? I would recommend checking the particles are actually breaking, if they don't break the cone motion is likely to force the larger particles through the walls either way, if the particles are not breaking it maybe that the breakage energy is too high.
Also it does look like there are a lot of particles there, not just a few. Are there any gaps in the CAD that the particles can just fall though? You can also select a particle with Manual Selection and then play the time-steps back to follow the particle and see by what mechanism it came to be in the wrong area.
