Missing .dll error when trying to open PostFeko

Description: I am unable to open PostFeko because of this error

Post Feko : I downloaded Feko 2025 as part of student bundle and have set up my licensing already and am able to use CadFeko. I have checked the bin of my feko program data and both psbodyshop.dll and pskernel.dll exist within it. Further more, I have tried adding the bin to my environment variables.

I hope someone can help me I don't know what to do

Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall Feko? there might be a missing installation file or two.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried for 2024.1 , 2025 and 2025.1 versions
2024.1 gives some sort of license error even though i have already put in my student license

Hi @Peel, please start with the following tests:

Phase 1 - check environment $PATH

From Feko Terminal (via the launcher) report what is returned from the following two commands

set FEKO

and

set PATH

Check that running postfeko.exeis still not working when running the terminal here. If there are other folders in the path that could mix up the libraries then it would not succeed at runtime.

Phase 2 - check pskernel.dll locations and sizes

From PowerShell run the following and report the feedback

C:\Program Files\Altair\Release_2025.1_marketplace\feko\bin> Get-ChildItem -File -Path .\ -Filter "pskernel.dll" -Recurse

and

C:\Program Files\Altair\Release_2025.1_marketplace\feko\bin> Get-ChildItem -File -Path .\ -Filter "psbodyshop.dll" -Recurse

Since @Zeina is on vacation I get back to you. Did you try the steps described in "Phase 1" and "Phase 2"? As it seems this is the only way to resolve the issue.

Hi @Torben Voigt, thanks for replying. I posted the results of phase 1 and phase 2 in a reply to Zeina above in the thread. I am still encountering the same error message
