Hi~
Sometimes, when going into a 'picking' type of mode of operation,
like Hypermesh wants you to pick an edge or surface to suppress,
why in the living dead does the model unnecessarily go into this ghastly ghost mode and go translucent, where all iso lines look all jumbled and on top of each other, making it hard to discern the ones you need to pick. And that green highly brightened color is an eye strain trying to fish through all the iso lines.
Why can't it just stay like this to readily pick off some simpler looking, clearly evident lines or something. I get it that sometimes you might want to pick something deep internal to the model, but then you can change views in opaque mode to get at some of those top level things. I get it that sometimes, things might be inaccessible when opaque, but still, most jobs involve a more superficial, directly accessible geometry. Can someone go deep into this rather simple model and pick out the right curve to click on. Do you dare?🤣 It's on the outer surface by the way. I picked the wrong one in the image above with the arrow. I could have easily picked off the right one below in a heart-beat.
Now I know the real smart UX folks at Altair implemented a switch to go back and forth between Transparent/Translucent to Opaque mode for such operations as these, and I ain't just talking about 'suppress' function. I just know it; somebody must have been meticulous enough to think this through (ready to be disappointed though, because I can't find it and Altair documentation is like a 2 out of a 10 generally so…)
Can someone enlighten me of where that switch might be?
Thank you~~ 😁
