Meta Particle Rotation

Good day,

Please, I am a little confused about the rotation of a glued particle or similar shape when building a meta particle.

When I try to rotate (30, 60, 90) the meta-particles around the X-axis, there seems to be no obvious change in the orientation because it remains in the same horizontal position as shown in the image below. Also, the coordinates only change for the Y and Z axes.

However, when I rotated the meta-particle around Y and z-axis the position and the orientation of the particle change as shown in the images below. The glued spheres rotated.

My question is, in EDEM the meta-particle by default is always appearing along the X-axis. So, this means the meta-particle does not rotate around on the x-axis but only along the Y and Z-axis.

Thank you.

    Hi Johnson

The particle within the meta-particle is based on the definition of the particle. In your case, your particle is aligned with the X-axis, and so, in the meta-particle definition, it imports the particle as-is from the particle definition. You can change the principal direction in the particle definition itself.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
